Dogs Trustival

In 2019, Dogs Trust celebrated 10 years of rescuing and re-homing dogs in Ireland. Fuel created Dogs Trustival, Ireland's first ever dog friendly festival.

The event featured acoustic performances from acclaimed Irish artists Hudson Taylor and Saarloos. Other features were "Tailwaggers Walk" a farmers market with artisan dog traders, "The Museum of Modern Bark", The "Pawchella" main stage featuring "Show and Tail", educational talks and live music. The event was MC'd by TV personality Andrea Hayes and attended by 1,000 guests and over 200 dogs!

Fuel created a unique and playful event identity working with Dogs Trust to develop a fully integrated marketing comms plan. Dogs Trust supporters received discounts while dogs went free!

A unique programme was developed to engage all audiences; families, couples, dogs, welfare advocates and dog lovers. All music sets were acoustic to provide safe noise levels for dogs.

As this was the first event to take place at Dogs Trust facility, Fuel carried out comprehensive pre-planning including; capacity checks, traffic management plans, emergency procedures, site maps, grounds maintenance, cleaning, and liaised with local fire and police authorities to ensure public safety on the day.

Dogs Trustival was a sell-out success in its first year reaching the maximum capacity of 1,000 humans and over 200 dogs! The launch campaign, featuring TV personalities and resident puppies, landed FRONT PAGE of Ireland’s best selling newspaper 'The Irish Independent'. The Marketing and PR Campaign achieved a total reach of 8 million, with 1.5 million social impressions, and a PR Value of 203,000.
