Virtual Talent Show with Charity Element

PayPal’s Got Talent was an opportunity for PayPal Leaders to be up front and centre and perform their talents for all PayPal employees and to encourage donations to the Gives Charities. This event was a hybrid event with 1 in studio Celebrity Host and 2 remote PayPal hosts. All 3 worked extremely well together to make the show engaging, light hearted, enjoyable to watch and personal to PayPal. All talents were shown through videos which were submitted in advance and then played on the night with the contestants dialling in virtually to have a chat with the host about their talent. Voting was done live via an app and voters were also encouraged to donate as they voted. Despite an internet mast going down in Dublin and having 12 remote contestants due to be dialling in, we managed to pull the whole thing off with very little technical issues. The show was a huge success and raised a large amount of money for PayPal’s Gives charity partners.
